Market Minute: Earnings Previews for CSCO, MGM, RDDT

Earnings season may be winding down, but there are still a few interesting names to keep on the radar. Let’s look at a few reporting after the bell today.
Zacks estimates Cisco Systems (CSCO) will report EPS of $0.91 (+4.6% year-over-year) and revenue of $13.87 billion (+8% year-over-year) for 2Q25. The stock has been on a run of almost 25% over the last year, hitting a 52-week high on Feb. 7. The current implied move is around $3, and CSCO has beaten estimates on the top and bottom line for the last 10 quarters. As a software company, investors will likely be watching for comments around A.I. and cybersecurity. CSCO has already been introducing A.I. Agents for Webex, among other related ventures.
MGM Resorts (MGM) has sunk over 25% in the last year, though it has bounced slightly off its 52-week low in January. Zacks estimates 4Q24 EPS of $0.32 (-70%) and revenue of $4.28 billion (-2%). Its current implied move is around $2.50. The company missed on top and bottom line estimates last quarter. With Americans worried about the price of eggs, the U.S./China relationship souring, and online gaming taking chunks out of market share, MGM is facing a host of difficulties. Investors will be particularly keyed into its Macau business, along with forecasts for 2025.
Reddit (RDDT) made its IPO last March, so the upcoming report will be the last quarter before investors can start better comparing year-over-year performance. The stock is up more than 300% since its IPO and is already up about 31% year-to-date. The option market is pricing in a +/- move of almost $30, meaning the market expects significant swings on the report. Zacks expects it to post EPS of $0.25 and revenue of $409.4 million for its 4Q24. Investors will be scrutinizing its ad business and its user growth. It also struck up a partnership with Google last year, with Google pushing Reddit results farther up while gaining access to its posts for A.I. training.
